To ensure consistently high quality, we set very high standards for ourselves and our partners. We purchase our wood exclusively from sustainable forestry before it's further processed into your piece of furniture in our affiliated workshops. There, our experienced craftsmen ensure that your specifications are implemented precisely to the centimeter. At Frohraum, every piece is unique and your dream furniture is just one click away.

We're committed to making natural wood furniture built to last – for both environmental and economic reasons. That's why we use only high-quality, robust solid wood that can handle the challenges of daily life. For optimal care, we recommend an appropriate surface treatment (oiled, waxed, or lacquered) that helps protect your furniture and supports the natural moisture regulation of solid wood.

The Frohraum configurator

The online configurator is the centerpiece for creating your new furniture. Here's how it works:

In the first menu, you choose the key dimensions: length, width, height, headboard height, recess depth, and leg profile. The interactive 3D view helps you visualize the specified values and check their accuracy. All changes appear immediately, and you can view your furniture from all angles until you're completely satisfied.

In the second menu, you choose the material and its characteristics. Choose from the wood types listed below.

Additionally, you can choose between "finger-jointed lamellae" and "continuous lamellae" options. The first option (FJL) consists of lamellae glued together in sizes between 25-50 cm, creating a lively, parquet-like appearance. The second variant (CL) uses long, uniformly sized lamellae that produce a calmer wood pattern. Because finger-jointed gluing produces less waste, it's more affordable, though not inferior in quality. Learn more about selecting your panel type here.

Here you also select the panel thickness – 26 mm or 40 mm – and surface protection type. Alongside the 3D view, the configurator's enlarged material view helps you visualize your settings.

In the third menu, simply decide if you want our assembly service or prefer to assemble it yourself.

Depending on the furniture, there are additional options. For our extendable tables, you can configure the extension leaves; for sideboards, the front layout and materials; and for our beds, the headboard.

For our shelves, there's a dedicated, innovative configurator that allows you to customize all columns, including their features, opening up virtually unlimited configuration possibilities.

Once your configuration is complete, you can save your settings, download them as a PDF, add them to your cart, and order directly.

Custom solid wood furniture – eight times the luxury of choice

At Frohraum, you can choose from eight different wood types: maple, beech, beech heartwood, ash, oak, wild oak, walnut, and cherry.

Each wood has its advantages and sometimes only reveals its full effect in certain combinations. Can't decide between two wood types? Use our service – we'll send you two free wood samples to help you decide. With additional elements or materials, you can design creative, modern custom-made furniture.
